jerma (real name: Jeremy Harrington/Elbertson) is one of the various nextbots that hunts down players in nico's nextbots. It can be found in nn_mall and arcade mode.
jerma was added on August 21st, 2022, within the Bloodmoon Update.
Overview
Appearance
jerma has fair skin, blue eyes, and medium-length hair that is a blend of brown and blonde.
New design
In the phase where he is distant from players, he exhibits a peculiar facial expression. During this phase, he is attired in a gray sleeveless shirt and wears black earphones in his right ear.
When he is at medium distance from players, his facial expression transforms into a grin. His skin takes on a slightly reddish hue, and his hair appears to be receding.
In the phase where he is in close proximity to players, his shirt is torn at the collar, and his grin extends into a wide, suspicious smile, with his teeth glowing. His skin has turned into a red, flesh-like appearance, and his hair has receded to the back of his head, while his eyes widen.

In his phase where he is far away, his head appears small and distorted, with his eyes looking in different directions. He wears a black shirt and earphones.
In his phase where he gets slightly closer to the player, he makes a slightly unusual facial expression, wearing a gray sleeveless shirt and black earphones in his right ear.
In his phase where he gets really close to the player, he transforms into an edited version of his previous phase, characterized by a wide smile, wrinkled cheeks, and slight hair loss. This transformation became a well-known meme around 2021, often associated with the Among Us meme."
Audio
The audio features him threatening the player, with the sound of his stomping heard before the end of the loop. His jumpscare consists of an inhuman belch. The previous jumpscare involved him screaming in pain, while an even older version included cartoony blabbering noises.Origin

The original image, when the player is close to jerma, is based on the ‘Jerma Sus’ or ‘When the Impostor is Sus!’ meme, but it is a cropped and zoomed-in version. The image used when at a medium distance is the pre-edited version of the ‘Jerma Sus’ meme. This medium-distance version has been used in various macro images of jerma in different variations. Audio
The audio is an edited clip from one of jerma’s Left 4 Dead streams, where he speaks angrily. It was edited to remove swear words that are not permitted on Roblox. The background music in the audio is the Left 4 Dead Witch Theme.
His old jumpscare sound is Jerma screaming from one of his streams. An earlier jumpscare sound features him making teacher noises. The current jumpscare audio originates from this clip.Gallery

- The faces previously seen in his old nextbot frames are well-known within the Jerma985 community.
- The face seen when jerma is far away from players is sometimes referred to as ‘Derpy Jerma.’ This AI-generated image, created by one of jerma’s fans, depicts him with an eerily derpy expression.
- The face seen when Jerma is at a medium distance from players is referred to as ‘THE Face.’ This is a face Jerma made to ‘jumpscare’ his viewers, which he quickly regretted. To this day, it remains one of the faces he dislikes the most.
- Lastly, the face seen when Jerma is close to players is known as ‘Sussy Jerma’ or alternatively ‘When The Imposter is Sus’ face. This is an edited version of ‘THE Face,’ which is the main reason why Jerma985 himself dislikes ‘THE Face’ so much.
- jerma was first teased in the Nico’s Stu Discord server under a media filename titled ‘jerma.mp3’. The second sneak peek was posted by Number1Riker, featuring a message that said ‘Jerma is pretty cool’ along with a low-quality video of Jerma’s face in the ‘#sneak-peek’ channel.
